Meet the Team that ‘deliver’…

Nigel

nigel gillingham

Personal statement

“Projects are not delivered by plans – they are delivered by people”.

“Understanding how to lead and manage people is much more important than strictly following any process or methodology”.

“The way to embed learning and improve your understanding is to do rather than be told. The learning process should be engaging, challenging, memorable and an enjoyable experience”

Background

Nigel has extensive experience in helping businesses, their leaders and their people define and deliver their strategic or transformational changes through the practical application of project, programme and change management principles.

Prior to setting up his own partnership with another experienced colleague, Nigel worked for British Telecommunications Plc for 37 years and was instrumental in the introduction of their Project Management eXcellence framework. Working with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Consulting on the initial introduction of a Goal Directed Project Management based approach, Nigel developed much of the initial content and through continuous evolution these highly interactive and practical workshops – which focus more on team-working and engagement than slavishly following a process – continue to receive exceptional feedback every time.

A Member of the Association for Project Management, Nigel is accredited in Change Management and both Project & Programme Management. As well as being an experienced project & programme manager and tutor, Nigel was also a coach and lead for BT’s Investing In Our Future and Investors in People programmes and is a trained job selection interviewer.

My leisure pursuits include holidays, hot air ballooning, scuba diving (I’m an advanced PADI diver) and an obedience trainer at our local dog club. I own an American Dodge Viper ‘muscle car’ which I use for my own personal enjoyment as well as raising funds for children’s charities giving Dream Rides at various UK events as a member of the Sporting Bears Motoring Club.
