Background
Steve has a wide-ranging background of leading technical and non-technical staff built up over 20 years in the IT and finance sectors. Steve left Barclays Bank in 2003 to work as an independent training consultant. Steve has subsequently worked with a wide and varied client base involved in programme design, programme delivery and 1-1 performance coaching.
Profile
Steve is approachable and affable and combines his interpersonal and presentation skills to engage with delegates both individually and as a group. He is enthusiastic, passionate and confident and pitches his delivery at an appropriate level. His understanding of body language and human behaviour enables him to spot appropriate opportunities to approach individuals to gauge feelings and to take appropriate action. Delegates find him calm, patient and considerate.
Steve is a good listener preferring to encourage input from delegates or coachees rather than consistently hear the sound of his own voice. Whilst he recognizes that people development is a serious matter, Steve also strives to achieve effective outcomes by promoting the message that learning should be fun.
