Personal statement
As a facilitator my role is to bring out the best in people, through challenging existing beliefs and utilising the knowledge available. The true potential of individuals is often hidden and companies may not be aware of the capability available to them. Unlocking this potential is highly motivating.

Background
James has 11 years experience working within Barclays IT Department, where roles included team leading, training design and delivery and project management specifically related to major change programmes. Originally based in Hampshire, James’ career moved him to Manchester for 2 years and then to Dorset. His varied roles and locations have provided extensive experience, managing staff in remote locations and of varying grade and technical/business expertise.
Because of an out sourcing agreement, James transferred to Accenture where he took on the role of Service Development Manager, ensuring that technical projects were implemented in a supportable and sustainable manner.
This provided significant exposure to major payment developments within the Banking industry. As an outsourced supplier, the role developed a strong commercial awareness and, due to an internal off-shoring strategy, created an understanding of issues that could be encountered when implementing a successful offshore delivery function.
James’ facilitation style is fun, relaxed and involving, seeking to ensure participants engagement through challenge and learning from one another. He draws on experience to introduce real examples to delegates, allowing theory to be understood and genuine application seen.
